Meet Dorothy Arnwine: Turning Loss Into Light

When the 2025 Altadena fire took Dorothy Arnwine’s childhood home, she didn’t just grieve—she got to work. As the JustServe.org Specialist for the Chatsworth Stake, Dorothy channeled her pain into purpose, rallying volunteers, survivors, and community leaders to create something powerful:

The San Fernando Valley Emergency Preparedness Expo

 Chatsworth Stake Center

 Saturday, August 9 · 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Free & open to all | Event Info

Dorothy’s vision? A day filled with hands-on learning, heartfelt stories, and life-saving tools to help us all prepare before disaster strikes.

Come meet real fire survivors, learn from expert booths (food storage, CPR, pet prep & more), and honor those who turned tragedy into service.

“This is more than an expo—it’s a community call to action, rooted in real stories and shared compassion.” – Dorothy Arnwine Dotty Arnwine
